Insufferable Know-It-Alls

Striking Against! Really Self-righteous People.

So, there are numerous people that I know who always have to be right, always have to have the last word, and think, in a nutshell, they're top shit.

To whom it may concern, you're not.

I'm sick of hearing certain people disrespecting and putting other people down for how they look or what they wear.
I do not think it's acceptable for anyone to judge another on their weight. Yes, I do realise that some people can help it, and choose to do nothing about it, but it's their choice, their life, let them be. And saying insensitive things like "if it's because of a horrible disease, why aren't you in hospital" really, really makes me feel ashamed for them. Not only is it completely tactless, many of these diseases which effect weight gain and loss are chronic. You can not live in a hospital. What are they supposed to do?
And having a little rant about people wearing, dressing looking a certain way isn't the nicest thing to do either. Did it ever occur to you that maybe, even though you don't approve, they like they way they look. And hey, you never know, they could even be expressing themselves. Last time I checked, I swear that was okay.

To whom this may concern, here are some tips for you:
1. Think
2. Think with empathy
3. Pull your head out of your arse
4. Don't speak
I even simplified them for you!

Strike out little ones.

Oh How The Tables Will Turn

Striking Against! Ungrateful Parents.

I often hear the term ungrateful teenagers, but never, ever have I experienced the term ungrateful parents. I'd like to know why, because I for one do quite a lot for my parents. And as soon as I refuse them one tiny, menial favour, it's World War III and all hell breaks loose. I swear, if I refuse to make a cup of tea for them, I'm held to ransom. "If you do not make me my tea, you won't be going anywhere for a long, long time". This reaction a) makes me slightly nervous for when I do actually fuck up, and b) kind of, just a little bit, in a really small way annoys the shit out of me.
I mean suree, they fund my clothing and accessories obsession, they pay for my school, they look after me when I'm sick, blah blah blah, repeat-to-fade. But half the time, they are the biggest hypocrites I know. Fairly positive, I'm not the only one in my household who hogs the phone, takes too much time in the bathroom and is on the phone for hours on end.
So, dear Mom, Dad. Shut up.

Strike out Munchkins.

Idiots..

Striking Against! Stupid People.

Sometimes, I really do wonder. How were some people raised? Because it obviously wasn't anywhere near civilisation. Otherwise, you would think, they'd have picked up basic english, manners maybe.. But no, it seems, even though we're the most advanced species on this planet, some of our population doesn't seem to be smarter than a worm. I don't understand how some are able to find the most nasal pitch in their voice range, adapt it to speaking, and use it at all times. I also can not fathom why anyone would do such a thing.
And, why, why, why do the breed? They all seem to have excessive amounts of children. No one, can possibly need that many children can they?
But I suppose, each to their own. I just wish I couldn't actually hear or see them.. And now that I think about it, they do have a purpose in society. It's actually quite funny to laugh at them.

Strike out my lovelies.

Young'uns Get It All

Striking Against! Younger Siblings Being More Amazing Than You.

So I think I just struck gold. Talent. In the form of my six year old sister. She wanted a turn at taking pictures of me in a fake photo shoot I had to ease my boredom. She not only produced pretty good pictures, she told me what poses to do, and they weren't completely retarded.
I'm so jealous! Why didn't I have that talent when I was a young'un? I mean don't get me wrong, she's a freak, but she has talent! The only talent I showed at age six was the ability to say NO. All the time. While it's provided me with a very useful skill as a teenager, it's not too much of a big deal.
This is a picture she told me expressly to pose in. Not too shabby.. For a six year old. And she has the attitude to match. "No.. NO WHAT ARE YOU DOING? That's NOT how I told you to be".

Strike out little ones.

Issues, Issues, Issues

Striking Against! School Interfering with Our Outside Lives

Since when was it okay for year coordinators and teachers to tell us how we use facebook, msn, myspace, whatever else?
Seeing as facebook and all other social networking sites are blocked on school computers, I think it's appropriate that school has no part in what we do outside of school on computers that actually allow facebook to be accessed.
Another thing, I don't understand how we can be threatened with detentions over weekend behaviour. If some people decide to actually have fun on weekends, how does the school come into it? At any point? Ever.
And why, why do cranky members of the public always decide to call the school when one school girl is too loud, or doesn't give up their seats on a bus? They complain that 'younger generations have no respect', well, darling, you raised us. And what was that phrase I've heard you repeat about one billion times? Oh yeah, life isn't fair, so get over it lady. Chill out. Calm down. Go have a nap.

Strike out kiddies.
